چکیده
Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a green material that has widespread applications in pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, and other industries because of its biocompatibility, biodegradability, hydrophilicity, acid-insolubility. In this study, MCC was prepared from cotton waste via alkaline treatment sulfuric acid hydrolysis. Further, the synthesized cotton-based characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron, energy dispersive spectroscopies. Based on these results, major components were identified as carbon oxygen. This finding evidenced by FTIR analysis, which displayed peak wavenumbers at 3446.9, 2891.1, 1649.5, 1380.1, 1061.2, 1050 to 1150 cm-1. The surface morphology also examined field emission scanning electron microscopy transmission microscopy, showed smooth consistent, rod-like shape. addition, exhibited typical diffraction peaks crystalline structure II 12.2°, 20°, 22.03°, correspond planes 1-10, 110, 020, respectively, had crystallinity index 78.7%. Moreover, diameter 37.8 µm good stability with -76.5 mV. high thermal stability, revealed TGA.

متن کاملEffects of Microcrystalline Cellulose and Hydroxypropylmethyl Cellulose on the Properties of Dough and Flat Bread (Iranian Barbari Bread)
There are many reports on the application of different hydrocolloids in the production of leavened breads; most of which show positive effects on bread quality. However, there is little information to prove such effect on flat breads. The main aim of this study was to improve the quality of Barbari dough and bread (Iranian flat bread) in terms of texture, taste and general acceptability of fres...
متن کاملProducing Cellulose nanofiber from Cotton wastes by electrospinning method
One of the main issues of nanotechnology is producing materials with new properties. Nanotechnology, as a powerful tool, has the ability to create evolution in the agricultural system and food–medicinal industries across the world. Producing a high-performance material from reclaimed cellulose material will increase motivation to recycle these materials at all phases of paper production and rem...
